Red Weapon 8K

A dramatic, "single take" monologue delivered by seven different women.

This shoot provided an interesting challenge: how do you do a continuous pull-back shot with seven separate actresses? We didn't have the budget for a motion-control system, and there was no way to perfectly synchronize the performances while giving the actresses creative freedom. We ended up shooting in 8K and zooming all the way in post, pain-stakingly matching the positions of each actress, and pulling out digitally. The real trick was that we had to change lenses half-way through the performance to be able to cover the closest and widest angles. Thankfully, my measurements and estimates in pre-production worked out perfectly.
